KUKA KMP 1500P-E-D diffDrive baseVersion is an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) platform designed for material and goods transport in production environments and internal logistics operations.
With a rated payload of up to 1,500 kg, the KMP 1500P-E-D is suitable for transporting larger and heavier loads, particularly for production-line material supply, process linkage and point-to-point transport within factories.
Up to 1,500 kg Payload for Internal Logistics
The KMP 1500P can transport payloads of up to 1.5 tons, making it suitable for transport tasks that cannot be handled efficiently by lower-payload AMRs.
The platform can support different types of load carriers and goods depending on the application configuration. It is suitable for automating material flow between warehouses, production areas, workstations and different production processes.
Designed for Production and Warehouse Environments
The KMP 1500P-E-D measures 1,300 × 900 × 263 mm, providing a platform capable of handling up to 1,500 kg while remaining suitable for automated transport operations in factories and logistics environments.
With an IP54 protection rating according to IEC 60529, the robot is designed for industrial operating environments and can operate at ambient temperatures from 0 °C to 45 °C and air humidity levels from 10 % to 90 %.
Flexible Mobility with Differential Drive
The KMP 1500P uses differential drive technology to provide flexible movement in production and internal logistics environments.
The maximum speed is 1.8 m/s without load and 1.5 m/s with load, balancing high-load transport capability with efficient movement within the facility.
Autonomous Navigation and Accurate Positioning
The KMP 1500P features SLAM navigation and a camera underneath the platform for QR-code reading, supporting accurate positioning during operation. The platform also supports Wi-Fi and 5G connectivity.
With KUKA.AMR Fleet, the system can be integrated, operated and maintained through a no-code platform. This supports the deployment and management of AMR fleets for automated logistics applications.
Safety for Heavy-Load Transport
For an AMR platform capable of transporting loads of up to 1.5 tons, safety is an essential consideration. The KMP 1500P is equipped with laser scanners for obstacle detection, combined with 3D cameras for additional detection of obstacles and people.
The platform also features a bumper or safety edge, acoustic and optical signals, and four emergency stop switches positioned at the corners of the robot.
Lifting Capability and Load Identification
The KMP 1500P features an optional lifting device with a 60 mm lifting height, supporting applications that require loads to be lifted during automated transport.
An on-platform camera can support QR-based load identification. This capability helps improve material traceability and operational efficiency in automated logistics processes.
Charging Management and Up to 10 Hours of Operation
The KMP 1500P uses a Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery and provides a maximum operating time of up to 10 hours.
Its charging management system can automatically route the AMR to a charging station when the battery level is low. KUKA also provides inductive charging for the KMP 1500P, supporting continuous-operation requirements in suitable applications.
